This was done in Graphite and enhanced with Sepia on the computer to add more warmth.
I used a photograph taken by Samantha Mccoy on a mission trip to Haiti. Thankyou Sam for the use of your picture. Lovely photography.
Welcome to the Pencil Point. One of the best ways to keep drawing is to stay connected with others who enjoy drawing or working with other art mediums. The pencil point is more than a place that I will be posting my latest work. It is the main link to a network of artist both children and adults, those who are experienced and those who are just beginning. I hope you enjoy viewing this blog as well as the blogs attached. She is beautiful, Mommy. I think the Lord is going to use your work to help fundraise for missioners. If this is also on your heart, please claim it and give it to the Lord to use as an instrument. I know I am called to mission work atleast for some time and I will need to fundraise a lot. God just makes it all fit so well :) Love you. - hayley
ReplyDeleteWow! Thank you so much for drawing such a beautiful picture! It really captures her so well, her innocence, trust and longing. The photo i took was of a sweet little girl just praying before school, like she does everyday, but with so much reverence and sincerity. Thank you.
ReplyDelete"And he called to him a little child, and set him in the midst of them, and said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye turn, and become as little children, ye shall in no wise enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me..." Matthew 18:2-5
Hayley,
ReplyDeleteI never seem to have a say in how to use my work. God always jumps in front of me and tells me what to do. I guess that's His way of reminding me it belongs to Him. What kind of ideas do you have? I have wanted to draw the beautiful Ebony skin tone for a long time. One day soon I will paint it. I am happy to work for the children in Haiti maybe one day the Lord will give me a free missionary trip there and I will draw with the children.
