Be Flexable! Life is full of changes.

I guess your wondering why there has been so much paint stuff on this Pencil Blog lately.

Truth is that Pencil Artist get a little side tracked sometimes and we have to add some color to our world every now and then.

A PENCIL MAKER TOLD THE PENCIL 5 IMPORTANT LESSONS JUST BEFORE PUTTING IT IN THE BOX :

1. EVERYTHING YOU DO WILL ALWAYS LEAVE A MARK .

2. YOU CAN ALWAYS CORRECT THE MISTAKES YOU MAKE.

3. WHAT IS IMPORTANT IS WHAT IS INSIDE OF YOU.

4. IN LIFE , YOU WILL UNDERGO PAINFUL SHARPENING, WHICH WILL ONLY MAKE YOU BETTER.

5. TO BE THE BEST PENCIL, YOU MUST ALLOW YOURSELF TO BE HELD AND GUIDED BY THE HAND THAT HOLDS YOU.

We all need to be constantly sharpened. This parable may encourage you to know that you are a special person, with unique God-given talents and abilities. Only you can fulfill the purpose which you were born to accomplish. Never allow yourself to get discouraged and think that your life is insignificant and cannot be changed and, like the pencil, always remember that the most important part of who you are, is what's inside of you.

I have a passion for drawing and at the core of that passion is a love for God and a strong desire to please Him. I find drawing to be very therapeutic and healing. I love the satisfaction I get out of seeing something beautiful come from my own hands in such a short time and even more so seeing the joy it brings to others when you give it away.
So my advice to anyone who enjoys picking up their pencil, would be to practice alot, ask God to bring out the Artist in you and then give your time and talent to Him. You will be amazed at how he uses it and rewards you.

As some of you have noticed I am beginning to do some gentle critiquing on your drawings in the comment boxes. Please do not be offended by anything I say. I am so proud of all of you for trying so hard. I know that all of you will become very talented Artist if you continue to practice. Critiquing others and being critiqued is a great way to improve your skills. So you have to have thick skin and learn to take it like a grain of salt. A Critique is simply another Artist opinion and just that. So if it helps you to improve your work then use it. If you don't agree with me, that's OK too. You are the Artist and you decide when your picture is done and when you are happy with the outcome. I hope you will find my critiquing comments to be helpful.
